Drawing and Painting - Beginners

This 'Drawing and Painting - Beginners' course in Sittingbourne provides an opportunity for students to learn some basic drawing skills in a supportive environment. Students will work at a speed at which they feel comfortable. The tutor will support the students in developing a relaxed learning plan to ensure that the students get exactly what they want from the course. By the end of this course you should be able to: - Apply skills in observational study using paint, - Use line, tone, texture and colour as expressive and descriptive elements , - Confidently select and simplify, complex forms, - Develop personal compositions and Interpretations, using other artists as inspiration This course is for those who would love to develop some drawing and painting skills and techniques but haven't had the opportunity to do so for some time, perhaps since school days. The course is also suitable for those who have attended an 'Art Experience - Try Five different Media' course. It is important to note that art courses are practical requiring a degree of manual dexterity and you will need to participate fully in order to get the most out of the course.
