Sewing Bee - Hand Embroidery for Beginners

This embroidery course is idea for beginners and those with limited knowledge of hand stitching. It may also appeal to anyone wanting a refresher course and perhaps exposure to hand embroidery stitches that may be new to them. Traditional and modern designs will be explored. You will be learning embroidery stitches from different stitch groups, including loop stitches, line/straight stitches, filling stitches and knot stitches. You will also have the opportunity to try samples using different types of thread. Techniques for starting and ending threads will be covered along with preparing your fabric for embroidery and finishing and mounting your work. Beginners and those who lack confidence in developing their work may also find it exciting and inspiring to try new stitches and work with different threads. Full support will be available from the tutor to enable you to get the best from the course. The aim of the course is to have fun learning!
