This 'Drawing - Beginners' course in Sittingbourne will help to develop your skills and confidence in drawing in pencil and/or charcoal. The course will cover fundamental principles in drawing and you will be introduced to the work of a variety of artists. By the end of this course you should be able to: - Plan a composition and consider spatial relationships, - Draw more accurately from observation, - Draw using tone to establish structure and create solidity of form, - Draw using line and gesture, - Start to develop a personal approach to drawing. There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home. This course is for those who would love to develop some drawing skills and techniques but haven't had the opportunity to do so for some time, perhaps since school days. It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity for you to participate fully and get the most out of the course.
