Sketching - Locations - Summer School

This drawing course at Maidstone will guide you through the stages of creating observational drawings, using pencils, pens and inks. You will explore how to gain accurate proportions and perspective and use different mark making techniques. There will also be an opportunity (weather dependent) to draw and sketch outside on location. Students of all abilities. You do not have to have previous drawing experience to join this course. It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity for you to participate fully and get the most out of the course.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials, please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all stidents should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of a greaded pencils HB - 6B.
