Sewing Bee - Understand your Sewing Pattern

This one day course will take you through everything you need to know to understand and use a commercial sewing pattern successfully. By the end of the course you will be able to- Explain how to interpret the fabric buying guidelines on the pattern packet. Demonstrate how to separate the pattern pieces from a multi pattern set. Identify all the markings on the pattern pieces. Demonstrate how to correctly pin the pattern to the fabric using the pattern layout and correct grain line. Explain how to use the instructions to make the item. Be aware of and work to relevant Health and safety guidelines. Absolute beginners or those who want to brush up their basic skills and start to sew small craft projects.
