Stretch and Tone

In this Stretch and Tone class, you will perform dance-based exercise routines to a wide range of music. Lessons will include a warm up and a combination of low impact aerobic work with muscle toning exercises and stretches to improve flexibility, stamina, muscular strength, co-ordination and posture. Students will also be told the health benefits of dance based fitness classes and the teaching will reflect the different fitness levels of individuals. You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire before you start your first lesson. By the end of this course you should be able to:- Perform the dance moves with minimal guidance- Explain the benefits of combining fitness with dance- Recount at least three ways in which exercises can benefit health and wellbeing - Choose music suitable for their own personal practice. Anyone interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The course has been designed for anyone who would like to improve their fitness and health and enjoys group exercise classes.
