Floristry - Wedding Flowers

This Wedding flowers course is for those wishing to be involved in the flower arrangements for a wedding it will cover a variety of designs appropriate for the wedding celebration There will be an overview of the floral arrangements appropriate for a wedding, the costing and preparation. . Suitable for those new to flower arranging and those with some experience wishing to learn how to plan, cost and produce arrangements for wedding celebrations.

Entry requirements

Students will need to provide their own plant material i.e. flowers and foliage, containers, mechanics, floral foam and accessories that are sometimes needed for the design each week. Good scissors and secateurs, a notebook and pen and a table covering are required together with a camera for recording work each week , For the first lesson we will make a simple buttonhole. Please bring 1 flower plus 1 spare e.g. 2 roses or 2 carnations plus up to 5 medium sized leaves such as ivy. Evergreen leaves are easier to work with. The tutor will provide the remaining materials at a small cost. Floral foam and basic mechanics are available to purchase in class.
