Watercolour - Beginners

This course allows students to develop skills and techniques and an understanding of watercolour. The course takes a methodical, structured approach to teaching the elements of painting and drawing, through projects that explore a particular aspect of technique or genre, step by step. By the end of the course, you should be able to: - Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines , - Demonstrate and understand relevant techniques . - Demonstrate successful use of relevant tools, equipment and resources , - Use appropriate methods to collect ideas, research and experimentation , - Successfully review and evaluate your own work, - Research and evaluate the work of others to inform your own work and development , , There is no set 'homework', but you are welcome to practise and do further work at home. There is no qualification for this course. Students who have completed the Beginners course or have some experience. The course is also suitable for those who would also like to refresh their practice in this medium.

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper and a variety of pencils.You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements.
