Learn how to create a picture using the beautiful art of batik. Using hot wax on cotton fabric, you will design an image and paint it with dyes. The finished piece could be used as a picture, cushion cover, or for embroidery or patchwork. By the end of the course you should be able to: - use a wax pen (canting or tjanting) to draw wax on the fabric, - paint on or dip in dye, - use simple wax or dyeing effects , - use materials and equipment safely , This Batik course is for everyone from beginners to those with some experience, who is interested in exploring textile processes.
