This short course will focus on building functional and non-functional pieces using coiling and slabbing techniques. You will explore this possibilities of these pottery construction techniques, which allow you to build large or asymmetrical pieces, looking at both historical and contemporary examples and formulating and completing your own project. Anyone beginner or improver, who would like to spend a few sessions focussing on this technique.

Please wear old clothes and shoes. All pots are paid for by fired weight at a reasonable rate. Health and safety issues will be discussed and you will be instructed in the application of safe working practices.
