This 10 hour British Sign Language - Basics course in Canterbury is designed as a basic introduction to BSL for both those that have an interest in learning just a little or for those who wish to use this course as a stepping stone before joining an exam course. By the end of the course successful students will be able to: * Fingerspell names etc and use fingerspelling to support signing, * Meet and greet others and exchange simple information, * Sign numbers up to 20, * Identify and use vital communication tactics with Deaf people To gain maximum benefit students will need to practice between sessions. Anyone who is interested in learning British Sign Language and how to communicate with Deaf people.
