Drawing and Sketching - Summer School

This drawing and sketching summer school in Sevenoaks course will guide you through the stages of creating observational drawings, using pencils, pens and inks. You will explore how to gain accurate proportions and perspective, and use different mark-making techniques. There will also be an opportunity (weather dependent) to draw and sketch outside on location All levels of students interested in understanding and improving their sketching techniques for Art and Craft projects. It is important to note that Art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another adult please ask to speak to the Programme Manager before you enrol.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of graded pencils HB - 6B. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Some of our centres have their own 'shops' where you are able to buy things at competitive prices. If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
