Understanding the Legal Requirements of Self-Employment

This is one of a series of business seminars being delivered at the Enterprise Centre in Maidstone - Medvale House, Mote Road, ME15 6AH. The seminars are part of an occasional series which will take place on Thursdays in 2015-16. This particular seminar is designed for those interested in understanding the legal requiremnts of self-employment. Learn what you have to do to in order to become self-employed and the advantages of doing so, in terms of how you are taxed and what information you must record for HMRC. This seminar will also consider whether you would be better off by setting up a limited company instead. You will be made aware of some of the disadvantages of self-employment and the possibility of starting-up as self-employed and then setting-up a limited company which employs you in future. This course is aimed at aspirant entrepreneurs of small businesses, start-ups and existing small businesses.
