Sign Language - Basics

This 10 hour course is designed as a basic introduction to British Sign Language for both those who have an interest in learning just a little or for those who wish to use this course as a stepping stone to learning more of the language/before joining an exam course. By the end of the course successful students will be able to: - fingerspell names etc and use fingerspelling to support signing - meet and greet others and exchange simple information - sign numbers up to 20 - demonstrate 5 signs for each of the following topics: weather, colour, food and drink. To gain maximum benefit students will need to practice between sessions. For anyone who is interested in learning British Sign Language and how to communicate with Deaf people. No previous experience is required.
