Sage Computerised Accounts - Level 1 - Fast Track

UPDATED 20151112 11:44:26

Is this the right course for me? This course provides a general introduction to using a computerised accounts package, Sage Line 50 (Version 12 software), and is suitable for those seeking a first qualification in the practical use of accounts software. While this is an introductory course, students should have an adequate understanding of terms used in basic bookkeeping. Computer skills are essential. What will I learn? Students will learn to navigate the main parts of the Sage system and will practise the tasks necessary for successful completion of the examination. Specifically, students will come to understand how to: Add new accounts to the Sales, Purchase and Nominal ledgers. Process data relevant to the Sales and Purchase ledgers - invoices, credits and payments. Calculate and reconcile batch totals as required. Print the appropriate reports. How will I learn? Through a combination of class discussion and hands-on exercises. Will I gain a qualification? You will have the opportunity to achieve the City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Computerised Accounting. What can I do next? You may wish to enrol on the follow-up course next term - Sage - Computerised Accounts - Level 2.
