Is this the right course for me? You should be a competent dancer with a sound knowledge of tap dancing. However, you do not need to have passed any examinations. You may wish to take an examination or just enjoy keeping fit and making new friends. What will I learn? You will learn all the set steps of Tap to an advanced standard, be able to use many rhythms in one variation and develop a complex routine. You will also gain confidence in performance techniques. How will I learn? The tutor will demonstrate steps and interpretation of rhythms, which you will practise in solo and group work. Will I gain a qualification? It is possible to take an American Association of Dancing examination. What can I do next? You may wish to re-enrol next term to take further exams and to perfect your dance technique
