Is this the right course for me? This workshop is ideal for learners who have done the introductory course or have some experience in free-motion stitching. Ideally you should work with your own machine however; there are machines you can use at the centre if this is not possible. What will I learn? You will work with a variety of fabrics having a go at layering and reverse applique/cut work, zentangle doodle stitching with the machine and improving techniques in foiling on velvet. How will I learn? Observing demonstrations, looking at examples, group discussions and plenty of practical work. You will make small samples along the same theme that will ultimately work together as a collection. Will I gain a qualification? You will not gain a formal qualification but you may request a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor, to be given out at the end of the course What can I do next? You may wish to join a longer Textiles course
