You will develop your algebraic skills, investigate different functions, use surds and indices and study co-ordinate geometry in detail. Most of the areas are an extension of what has been covered on the Higher course at GCSE, so students who have achieved top grades should find the transition to AS fairly straightforward. Maths is a language. To become fluent you need to practise the routines frequently. Much of the course is suported by extension materials on the school VLE. Many students communicate on this area.
