The course is divided into 6 modules: AS = 2 modules in Year 12 A2 = 2 modules in Year 13 A2 Modules Unit 3 - Contemporary Geographical Issues, in which we explore: · Plate tectonics and associated hazards; · Weather and climate and associated hazards; · World cities - evolution or revolution; and · Development and Globalisation. Unit 4 - Geographical Fieldwork Investigation - examined via structured short and extended questions based on candidates’ own fieldwork investigation. To help with modules 2 and 4 a residential field course is held in the Scarborough area usually close to Easter in Year 12.
