The topics studied at AS Level are: MEDIA - TV, advertising and communication technology POPULAR CULTURE - cinema, music and fashion trends HEALTHY LIVING - sport, exercise, health and wellbeing FAMILY AND RELATIONSHIPS - including friendships and marriage The topics studied at A2 Level are: ENVIRONMENT - pollution, energy and protecting the planet THE MULTI-CULTURAL SOCIETY - immigration, integration and racism CONTEMPORY SOCIAL ISSUES - wealth and poverty, law and order, scientific and technological progress A CULTURAL TOPIC OF YOUR CHOICE - the focus could be a region, a period of 20th Century history, an author, a dramatist or an artist. At both levels you will be assessed in listening, reading, writing and speaking.
