The department follows the AQA course; it consists of four modules which are all externally assessed through written papers. Two of the modules are assessed in A2. The first module assessed in A2 ‘Further Aspects of Financial Accounting’, students will investigate sources of finance, partnership and limited company accounts and gain knowledge surrounding accounting standards. The last module assessed in A2 ‘Further Aspects of Management Accounting’, allows students to gain the knowledge on manufacturing accounts, costing, capital investments, budgeting and gain understanding surrounding social accounting. Both of these units will be assessed in the summer series.
