German A Level

By studying the A ‘level course you will improve your knowledge of the contemporary culture and language of German speaking countries. You will develop your ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken German. You will develop your linguistic skills - listening, reading, speaking and writing. You will improve your ability to analyse and discuss modern day issues and to present a coherent and persuasive argument. You will be encouraged to play an active part in lessons. All four skill areas - listening, speaking, reading and writing - will be developed. In addition to the timetabled lessons, you will spend one hour per week with the German Assistant. ICT and visits abroad will give you the opportunity to enjoy direct contact with German-speaking people and German culture.
