English Language A Level

UPDATED 20151111 11:34:10

Not just story writing, although there is a bit of that. You will explore how we judge peoples' language, how the media uses language to persuade and mould, how and why language changes, as well as other areas that show you how language has the power to shape our lives. In the second year you will build on the knowledge and skills acquired at AS Level. You will deepen your understanding of the way we learn language as children and why our language constantly changes. You will also be given the opportunity to work more independently on a research project.
