At Brigshaw High School we offer the Careers Academy program. Careers Academy UK is a programme that prepares students for the world of work and or / further study. The model focuses on linking students to employers through master classes, mentoring, workplace visits and internships. As part of Career Academies UK at Brigshaw, students follow a unique program of study comprising of Business BTEC level 3 and ICT (see separate information on both these courses) . All students will be provided with a Mentor from one of our partner businesses (Including British Gas, KPMG, First Direct, Yorkshire Bank) and students will complete a 6 week paid internship during the summer term of year 12 in one of these partner Businesses. Guru lectures, master classes and company visits form an integral part of the content of this course alongside assessed work.
