Running in partnership with the National Space Academy Salford City College is the only college in the North West to offer this exciting, innovative and fascinating course. The combination of A Level and vocational study gives you the perfect ground in the highly competitive field. A highlight to the course is a visit to CERN in Geneva for all students studying this programme You will study A Level Maths, and Psysics. Alongside this you will study a full engineering qualification, which will be delivered at City Skills Sixth Form Centre. This provides the A Levels alongside the practical, hands on experience of engineering. You will also look at Electronics, Robotics, CAD, CAM and Fabrication. All the subjects are taught within the context of space science and the particular problems of engineering solutions relating to the space sector. Contexts include; the space environment, earth observation froms space, cosmology, human space exploration, automated and robotic space exploration, astronomy, and terrestrial applications of space technology and science.
