Philosophy & Ethics is a thought provoking and unique subject and will enable you to question many aspects of belief and what is right and wrong. You will have the opportunity to engage in philosophical debates and discuss issues effecting our everyday lives With Philosophy we ask questions such as; How have people tried to prove that God does/does not exist? Does God exist?..... if so what would God be like? Where does evil come from? Is there life after death? Do miracles happen? With Ethics we ask questions such as; Are there things that are always wrong? Does the right action have to make you happy? Should you always follow the rules? Is abortion wrong? Should the NHS pay for IVF? Should gay couples have the same rights as straight couples?
