This Vocational Competence Qualification (VCQ) is a work-based automotive qualification that assesses the competence and knowledge that vehicle fitters require to perform their job role effectively. These technicians will work on a wide range of vehicles in all types of garages, dealerships and fast fit businesses. This VCQ is an integral part of IMI SSC Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship Framework (Vehicle Fitting Route). Therefore learners (normally aged 16-25) who are keen to build a career in the industry can take this VCQ as part of the Apprenticeship framework.
