AS Level Unit 1: Coursework Portfolio You are required to produce work from a given starting point/s that demonstrates a range of methods, techniques and processes, while, experimenting and recording your ideas. You will also need to show the development of your ideas, which have been informed by the study of different photographers, that lead to well presented final images. This element is worth 60% of your overall AS grade. Unit 2: Controlled Assignment You will be given an exam paper around the 2nd February. This exam paper will have a choice of starting points in which you will pick one to produce a well researched thorough body of work and then preparing materials for a 5 hour exam. This element is worth 40% of your overall AS grade. A2 Level Unit 3: Personal Investigation This requires students to follow the same procedure in developing a personal response, but to a self chosen starting point. As part of the unit you will be required to submit a written element of min 1000 - 3000 words. Unit 4: Controlled Assignment The examination unit is slightly different to the AS as it gives you 15 hours to complete your exam.
