AS Level Unit 1: MS1 50% Media Representations and Responses Exam 2 1/2 hours. Students will learn how different groups, events and issues are represented in the media. They will also learn how different audiences respond in different ways. Unit 2: MS2 50% Media Production Process The coursework provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and creativity in their productions. Coursework consists of : Pre-production storyboard for a Teen Movie Designing and creating your own DVD Cover & Film Poster Written Report A2 Level Unit 3: MS3 50% Media Investigation and Production This unit builds on skills developed at AS level. There are 3 linked pieces of work: Research investigation on a range of adverts. Advertising Campaign. Evaluation Report Unit 4: Text, Industry and Audience End of Year Exam 2 1/2 hours. Students have the opportunity to develop their understanding of the link between media texts, audience and industries.
