By the end of the course you will be able to: Produce figure drawings to gain an understanding of the 'Geometry' and 'Anatomy 'of the Human form. Produce figure drawings that will enable you to understand 'Proportion and Perspective. Produce figure drawings making full use of a variety of mediums including Charcoal, Graphite, Carbon pencil and pen and ink. Produce figure drawings that will explore the effect of Fore - shortening and the understanding of 3 dimensional space. Produce figure drawings that will enable you to understand movement' and the ability to capture motion of the human form in action drawings, making full use Gesture and Contour styles of depiction. This course is suitable for beginners who would like an introduction to figure drawing and will also benefit students who are already confident in their ability to draw. Paper and materials can be provided, however, you might like to bring along a selection of materials you prefer to use. A follow - on course 'Drawing the Human Figure II ' will enable students to take their study to the next level.
