This course enables you to approach many aspects of the Performing Arts industry (as covered in the course outline). You will be challenged in many ways building on transferable skills: time management, team work, commitment, self discipline, as well as performance skills. Over the two year course you will create a portfolio of evidence (Show reel in some cases) which will be of most use to those wishing to pursue a career in the industry. This course allows the teacher to tailor the learning to suit you, giving you the freedom to explore the side of Performing Arts that most appeals to you. Modules vary in terms of study. In some you will be required to attend practical workshops working on performance skills to then apply to your own devised work. Others will be much more independent, working on your own or in a group to create performance concepts from scratch or from a stimulus. Performing Arts Business is a compulsory module which is taught through the Virtual Learning Environment, where you will be required to submit the work set on a biweekly basis.
