This course is an excellent foundation for a career in the equine industry. Students need to have a genuine interest in horses, with some practical knowledge of horse care preferable. Learning takes place at college and the equestrian unit at Ryders Farm in Kearsley You wil cover a variety of topics such as: Riding and equitiation: Horse behaviour and welfare: The equine industry: Equine nutrition: Stable yard management: Equine anatomy and physiology: Animal biology Work experience is an essential element of the course and all students will complete work experience as part of their course.
