This course is an excellent foundation for a career in the equine industry. Students need to have a genuine interest in horses, with some practical knowledge of horse care preferable. Learning takes place at college and the equestrian unit at Ryders Farm in Kearsley You wil cover a variety of topics such as: Riding and equitiation: Horse behaviour and welfare: The equine industry: Equine nutrition: Stable yard management: Equine anatomy and physiology: Animal biology Work experience is an essential element of the course and all students will complete work experience as part of their course. Students have previously completed their placements at prestigious equestrian yards and in Terrou France
