This course is ideal for students who have a strong interest in Performing Arts and have a desire to widen their skills in specific performance techniques and genres. Students will undertake a range of performance tasks over the two year course, as well as supporting these with written log books and evaluations. There are a number of mandatory units, which include Investigating Practitioners Work, Group Performance Workshop, Developing Skills for Live Performance, and Performing Arts in the Community. There are also a range of optional units, including Singing, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Improvisation and Jazz. All students will have the option to take part in the annual trapeze performance project with Urban Angels Circus. The course is a vocational one, which means that students will be working as a theatre company for the two years.
