Course Description: Making clothes that are unique to you, that fit well, that reflect your personality and are in your favourite colours are some of the best things about making your own clothes. Why not join us in a friendly and supportive workshop atmosphere, where you will develop your creative skills and learn to use a sewing machine, including computerised machines and overlockers. What will I learn? Knowledge of health and safety in the sewing room and use of tools and equipment. Choose appropriate pattern and fabric for style and occasion, according to ability. Learn a range of techniques appropriate for garment construction. Be able to produce a comfortably fitting garment according to your ability. To evaluate your work in terms of your own progress.
