This course is set up to give students the opportunity to learn about health and social care settings and issues. It is assessed by assessments with specific graded criteria but without examinations. The Certificate is a year-long course the equivalent of an AS. If the student decides to continue with the subject, the Subsidiary Diploma has been designed to follow on from this with 3 more units to give the equivalent of an A2. The Diploma gives the student the equivalent of two A2s and is a two year course.
