Textiles A Level is an opportunity for you to indulge in creativity through embracing textiles, fashion design and looking at the design industry from a creative perspective. This exciting course is designed to introduce you to the contemporary approach of the industry and encourage you to develop your own personal responses to themes, cultures, experiences and environments. You will observe and create ideas that play to your own strengths and interests. This course will prepare you for degree courses in fashion design, marketing, textiles, buying and merchandising as well as career opportunities in textile design, or related areas such as fashion design, theatre costume, interior design, textile conservation, fashion journalism and teaching. If you see your self planning a future in the fashion or textiles industry, picturing yourself buying for one of your favourite retailers or working behind the scenes for online retailers this course is for you. Textiles will give you the skills to strengthen your design skills and develop your industrial knowledge.
