The course focuses on developing practical expertise in using scientific equipment. It is based around a number of optional units and 6 core units on general science. The course is portfolio based and focuses very much on the practical and real world application of science. The course covers the use and theory of equipment used in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students are taught how to write for the scientific community. Options exist to study, for example, medical physics, genetics and forensic science.
