Extended Diploma in Art and Design. This exciting and creative 2 year vocational course has been designed for students who wish to work in the creative media industries as a photographer or visual designer. The course includes the study of traditional and modern photography techniques, both dark room and digital practices are taught as part of the diploma. The course is essentially a creative one where students develop skills in beauty, fashion, portrait, product, field and experimental photography. Students are encouraged to work with mixed media, eg photography and line making, photography and 3D sculpture and photography for graphic design. Students will learn essential skills in producing photographic images for print, screen and exhibition. The course will provide students with the opportunity to build a portfolio of photographic and creative work to enable them to progress to university or begin a career.
