Students develop their written communication skills and their ability to frame a reasoned argument for or against a specific position. This course is for you if you have ever had these thoughts: Have you ever wanted to know about how people live? Why they make the choices they do? Why do some areas have healthy children and others don't? Why are women shown differently from men in the press? Why isn't education equal for all? Why does poverty still exist? Why are people unemployed at all? Yes? Then this is the course for you! Over two terms we will be learning about life in 21st century in Britain. What makes it all tick?
