This course specializes in workshops, skills and techniques using clay, plaster, soft metals, print materials...etc and encourages the introduction and exploration of any material that can be successfully used to produce a desired outcome. The staff team have extensive knowledge and expertise within applied arts and are continually revising and moving the course content forward in order to keep abreast of innovation within the specialist areas. Life Drawing and visual studies and contextual studies underpin all research. Some software applications are used and Portfolio and Presentational skills become increasingly important in year 2.
