You will be expected to complete 18 units and in addition to the course's fulltime hours, you will also be expected to undertake approximately 10 hours of independent study every week. You will study a range of subject areas, including: IT systems analysis and design Digital graphics and computers Human computer interaction IT troubleshooting and repair Principles of computer networks Organisational systems security In the second year of the programme there will be short work placements. You may also study for an additional qualification in a relevant subject. If you are between 1618 years you will also study Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT. Functional Skills are recognised and valued by employers and universities.
