BTEC National Level 3 Performing Arts Extended Diploma (180 credits) The 180-credit BTEC Level 3 Diploma has incredible breadth and depth, allowing for both a specialist vocational focus alongside academic study. It prepares students for employment in the industry or for further study and is broadly equivalent to three A Levels. The vocational context of the qualification is key and this is provided through assignment briefs that provide students with realistic, work-based scenarios and projects. Our existing links and relationships with local and national professional practitioners will provide a strong, vocational focus. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and achievement, taking into account industry standards for behaviour and performance. The assessment approach for the BTEC qualifications in Performing Arts allows students to receive feedback on their progress throughout the course as they provide evidence towards the grading criteria.
