Nail Technology CG Level 2 Award

E346 - This 12 week course is an excellent qualification for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the nail industry. Training will take place in our well-equipped nail bar, with instruction from our team of highly skilled, qualified and supportive tutors. You will be taught through a combination of classroom and salon/studio based activities and will complete written and practical work. You will learn practical treatments by working on your classmates, before moving on to work on paying clients in our real life working salon. You will be required to purchase a professional nail kit & uniform. Exact details and cost will be provided at interview. You will cover the following aspects as part of your course: selecting and applying nail tips application of acrylic overlay application of silk/fibreglass overlay application of gel overlay replacement and maintenance of artificial nails structure of the nail and skin health and safety relating to nail extensions The course is assessed in two ways: 1. Practical observations on paying clients, which you may be required to provide 2. Completion of written assignments. to be done at home in own time students who successfully complete this course may consider developing their skills further by progressing to a further hair or beauty related course.
