The Football Academy pathway gives access to both Level 2, Level 3 vocational learning based around football, coaching, sports leadership and fitness is a programme that will prepare you for university or employment. It is made up by selecting from the following options and then attending an interview to ensure the choice meets your needs. Football academy qualifications are full time standalone programmes that enable students to access up to six hours academy coaching per week. This includes the opportunity to work towards the FA Level 1 or Level 2 Coaching Certificate. Academy staff have a wealth of experience working with professional premier and football league clubs. Why study this subject? Aimed at students from 16 to 19 years old, this programme is very practical in nature. Students work towards their FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate whilst completing a portfolio that provides evidence that they are competent to coach at this level. Course content: • Preparing Coaching Sessions • Conducting Coaching Sessions • Supporting the Protection of Children from Abuse • Emergency First Aid
