This is a vocational course focused on developing a range of media skills, as well as your knowledge and understanding of the UK film and TV industry, in preparation for pursuing a career within the field of moving image The course involves working in production teams to generate, develop and produce moving image media products as well as learning the underpinning theory which accompanies various moving image forms. There is a strong focus on industry practice, learning how the TV and Film industry works in the UK, with opportunities arising to pursue work experience independently of the course. Units may include: Research Techniques for Media Production, Ideas Development Techniques for Media Production, Production Planning and Management Skills, Single Camera Techniques, Multi Camera Techniques, Sound Recording Skills, Editing and Post Production Skills, Media and Film Theory, Media Industry Studies, Media Careers.
