Why study this subject? This course will take place in the purpose built salon within the school, using equipment and materials of a professional standard to provide an authentic vocational learning experience. This Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification and is fully transferable into other courses, such as the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy that students may wish to go on to if their eventual aim is to work in this industry. This particular course allows you to study other subjects alongside Beauty and would be ideal if you are not sure you want to fully commit to a career in this area yet. If you are interested in pursuing a more full time Beauty related course, please discuss this with the staff in order that we can best meet your individual needs. Course content: Units covered include: Working in Beauty Therapy, Maintaining Health and Safety in the Salon and Consult and Advise Clients on Treatments. During the course you will also participate in practical sessions in aspects such as facials, manicures and basic make-up. If you reach a good level of skills and knowledge in these areas then they can also gain extra unit accreditation for your achievements.
