Students will study four units over the two year course. Within the first unit students will complete two projects that introduce them to a range of techniques through a workshop format. One project includes use of a digital SLR and Photoshop editing. The other project focuses on the use of a film camera and dark room processes. For each unit students are required to develop a body of work through exploring a range of photographic media and the work of other artists. Idea development for each unit should show experimentation with photographic media; digital and/or traditional dark room techniques. Submitted work should show the development and refinement of key skills within these areas. Each project should culminate in a personal, informed and meaningful final piece.
