AS Level History. The A Level History course is a very demanding course, requiring students to study, in depth, a broad range of historical periods, themes, events, individuals, societies, developments and issues; of more than one country/state. Not only must students be willing to absorb a large and exciting new vocabulary they must be prepared to study socio-economic, political issues and theory to a high level. Due to the demands of the course, students must have sophisticated English language abilities, be able to spell and be grammatically accurate.
