Course Content:This is a qualification for those who wish to progress to subject specific literacy and ESOL teacher education programmes. The course has four mandatory units which look at analysing English Language for literacy and and language teaching as well as covering how to develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.This qualification is aimed at helping new or experienced teachers who have to teach or focus on Functional Skills English.The course willl help you to:- Understand the relationship between forms of language and meaning- Understand structural features of language- Read and respond to written texts- Present information in a written and spoken format- Understand how to listen to respond to non verbal and verbal informationEntry Criteria:You should already hold a level 2 in English plus a recognised teaching qualification in order to complete the qualification satisfactorily.How is it Assessed?A mixture of assessment methods will be used including a portfoli
