The EdexcelBTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Performing Arts ( Acting) has been developed to recognise learners' skills, knowledge and understanding in a range of creative and performance activiities environments. The learners carry out a range of tasks that have been designed to recognise their achievements in a modern, practical way that is relevant to the Performing Arts Business. This qualification specifically aims to Develop learners knowledge and understanding of the performing arts business and the chosen specialist route if selected. Develop learners skills, knowledge and understanding in contexts that are directly relevant to employment situations, thereby enhancing their employability within the performing artst sector. Develop learners ability to work effectively both independently and in an ensemble Enable learners to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in specialist areas of devising, acting practitioners, rehearsaltechniques, and specialist modules Encourage progression by assisting in the development of skills, knowledge and understanding which learners will need to access further or high education programmes or occupational training on a full-time or part-time basis. Promote interaction between employers, centres and learners by relating teaching and assessment to real settings.
